431. That’s the number of times that I’ve been rejected in the last 60 days. I’ve applied for and have been rejected from more jobs in the last 2 months than there are days in a year. This includes dream gigs at Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Virgin Voyages. No phone calls, emails or any contact. Just a sterile form letter explaining nope not gonna happen. 431 resume and cover letter uploads followed by 431 form rejection letters in 60 days.

Times are tough and in these tough times our faith and resolve are tested. I was at my wits end not being able to find work.

Then, out of the blue and thanks to some friends, I met an amazing soul named Chaz. This man gave me an opportunity, he opened a door when nobody else did. For that I’m forever grateful.

Flash forward to my interview where I just ramble about my love for video and the man interviewing me is fighting for his life. I didn’t know this at the time.

I’ll never forget the opportunity that Chaz has given me.

It turns out while Chaz is helping me land a dream gig, he’s battling cholangiocarcinoma, also known as bile duct cancer. I’m at a loss for words. The amazing human interviewing me has a big beautiful family and is battling cancer. This man helped me in his darkest of times, it’s my goal to do anything I can to help him back.

Right now I’m reaching out to everyone in our amazing community. I love and adore each and every one of you. I’m asking you to help a wonderful man and his family. If you pray, please pray for Chaz and his family. Any friends out there connected to the Mayo Clinic? Maybe a friend of a friend knows someone? Anyone know a doctor who specializes in cholangiocarcinoma? If there is anyone in our community that can help Chaz and his family, please help. Here is a gofundme page with all of the information:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/bm6gng-pray4chaz

I want to thank you in advance for your love and kindness. I truly love our online family and I’m hoping & praying that someone in our circle can help.

People are so amazing! Sometimes giving all of themselves when they are so vulnerable. Obviously Chaz sees something in you and I think anyone who follows yours/Stef’s work, would concur. I will def keep Chaz in my thoughts. Hopefully he can get connected with a major medical center and on the transplant list! Keep us posted!
