What it’s like to sail on the Celebrity Equinox?
Celebrity Equinox was built in 2009 and will undergo a major refurbishment in 2019. Equinox can hold up to 2850 guests and has 1250 crew onboard. The Equinox is a solstice class ship, is the sister ship to Celebrity Solstice, Eclipse, Silhouette, and Reflection. The Equinox has 19 public decks, 9 dining options, and 2 pools.
Celebrity Equinox is a great laid back ship with lots of on board activities and things going on. We felt like our Celebrity cruise was a grown-up version of our Royal Caribbean cruises. Where Royal Caribbean is all about having an action packed vacation, Celebrity is more sophisticated and mature.
There are many different classes offered on board. We really enjoyed the mixology class. On other ships, you participate in a drink tasting but on Celebrity, you are able to learn about the drinks and even go behind the bar and create your very own cocktails. Another great class was the Hollywood Hot Glass experience. Here you are able to actually blow glass and create a one-of-a-kind glass keep sake. We definitely recommend this class! From Cafe Al Bacio, which has the best coffee and snacks at sea, to the flair bartenders at the Martini Bar, Celebrity Equinoz oozes sophistication and is a great choice for your next cruise vacation.
