Today the Carnival Horizon ports in Amber Cove, Dominican Republic, and for Sean and Stef it's all about giving back to the local community & helping out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fAEzouyss4 Today is the first port day on this Carnival Horizon cruise. After getting off the ship, Sean and Stef head out to explore what Grand Turk has to offer. And what better way to explore the island than with a golf cart? Yep! Watch Sean and Stef drive all around Grand Turk on a golf cart. Sean and Stef visit the Grand Turk Lighthouse, see some wild horses and donkeys and get caught in a freak rain storm. After a fun filled day in Grand Turk, it's back on to the Carnival Horizon for an afternoon of great food at Guy's Burger Joint and amazing cocktails & pool time in the Havana Bar. After a relaxing end to an amazing day, the Carnival Horizon pushes off from Grand Turk and it's once again night time on this amazing ship. Sean and Stef quickly get ready for the evening and start off the night with unbelievable drinks at the Alchemy Bar. After a round of fantastic craft cocktails it's off to dinner at the Italian restaurant Cucina Del Capitano. The Carnival Horizon has some truly fantastic specialty dining. The evening plans for an outdoor deck party were canceled due to rain so it's a nightcap at the Alchemy Bar. A perfect end to a perfect day aboard the beautiful Carnival Horizon.

Today they enjoy breakfast in the Ocean Plaza, play PacMan Smash in the Warehouse arcade, then it's off to Cherry on Top for Ship Snacks. After the best ship snacks ever, it's off to the Havana Pool and Havana Bar for an amazing day of sunshine, great drinks, a fantastic pool and 2 spas and of course the best aft view ever. After all of that swimming it's time for lunch. Sean and Stef head over to the Ocean Plaza and sample some complementary BBQ from the Pig & Anchor. What better way to finish off a great lunch than with hand made milkshakes and cappuccinos from the JavaBlue Cafe. After that it's time to get ready for dinner. Sean and Stef have some pre-dinner cocktails at the unbelievable Alchemy Bar (seriously the best bar ever) and then a taste extravaganza that is dinner at the 555 Fahrenheit Steakhouse. After dinner it's a night cap at the Alchemy Bar and then off to bed. Dreaming of another amazing day on the stunning Carnival Horizon!

Today Sean and Stef grab a quick NYC breakfast, check out of the Four Points Sheraton Times Square and head to Pier 88, where the Carnival Horizon waits to take them on their Caribbean journey. Join Sean and Stef as they go through embarkation (getting on the ship), find their Havana Cabana stateroom, hunt for ship snacks, attend muster drill (life boat drill), sail away from NYC (the best sail away ever), enjoy dinner in the Main Dining Room and end the night with cocktails in the Havana Bar. What an amazing first day on a truly fantastic ship.

After landing in New York, Sean and Stef drop off their bags at the Four Points Sheraton Times Square and grab some breakfast at the Westway Diner. Then it's off to explore the High Line park and walk around NYC. After some lunch and samplers at the Heartland Brewery it's off to check in to the hotel. A quick power nap later and Sean and Stef move on to Times Square. What will sailing on the Carnival Horizon be like? Sean and Stef have never sailed with Carnival before. Tomorrow morning they head off to Pier 88 and on to the amazing new Vista Class ship, the Carnival Horizon.
WOOOOOO!! It's hard to believe that our next trip will be our 20th cruise and it's on the Carnival Horizon. This trip is a lot of firsts for us. Not only is this our 20th cruise, it's our first time sailing out of NYC and our first time sailing with Carnival. We're sailing on the Horizon August 28, 2018 – September 5, 2018. Join us!
