Disney Releases First Rendering of its Next Generation of Ships
Disney Cruise Line has released it’s first rendering of their next line of ships. These gorgeous new ships will set sail in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
“We decided two ships wouldn’t be enough to hold all of the exciting new experiences we have been dreaming up to take family cruise vacations to a whole new level with immersive Disney storytelling, world-class family entertainment, and imaginative innovations that are fantastically fun and uniquely Disney,” – Bob Chapek, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
The Three New Ships Will Feature:
Each Ship is currently planned to have around 1,250 Guest Staterooms.
Each new Disney Ship will be 140,000 tons which makes these slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Fantasy.

The new additions to the fleet will be powered by Liquified Natural Gas or LNG which is one of the cleanest burning fuels available.
To put this into perspective for you, here’s the capacity and gross tonnage of Disney Cruise Line’s current fleet:
- Disney Magic – 2,400 Passengers – 83,338 Gross Tonnage
- Disney Wonder – 2,400 Passengers – 84,000 Gross Tonnage
- Disney Dream – 4,000 Passengers – 129,690 Gross Tonnage
- Disney Fantasy – 4,000 Passengers – 129,690 Gross Tonnage.
