Norwegian Cruise Line Announces a Beautiful New Terminal at PortMiami
Tentatively starting construction in May 2018, Norwegian Cruise Line announces a beautiful new exclusive cruise terminal for NCL and their sister brands. If you’ve seen our vlog, you know that we’re huge NCL fans and we couldn’t be more excited about this news!
“Norwegian has been sailing from Miami for over fifty years, longer than any other cruise line, and we are honored to be partnering with PortMiami and Miami-Dade County to construct an iconic terminal that will contribute to Miami’s world-famous skyline and strengthen its position as the Cruise Capital of the World,” Frank Del Rio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
The new Norwegian terminal will be able to accommodate the big ships with the ability to host ships up to 5,000 passengers as well as feature new technology that will all for more efficient embarkation, disembarkation and luggage handling. This terminal will also complete just in time to welcome the new Norwegian Encore, the final ship in the Breakaway Plus class of ships.
Are you as excited as we are? My only wish is that Norwegian would build something cool in Port Canaveral as well. Perhaps not to the shear size or beauty of this Miami terminal, but it would be nice to have a more updated terminal to breeze through.
Another exciting update… The New NCL terminal will have a new parking garage and valet parking area with direct access to the terminal as well as amazing new lounges with both indoor and outdoor waiting areas designed to enhance the passenger experience.
Do you cruise out of Miami? What are your thoughts about NCL’s new terminal? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. We LOVE it!
