Norwegian Cruise Line Announces Latest Breakaway Plus Class Ship ‘Encore’
Norwegian Cruise Line announced the start of construction of NCL’s 17th ship, the Norwegian Encore. If you watch our vlog, you know that Stef and I LOVE Norwegian. We’re super excited to experience the Encore, right after we do Bliss and Joy of course. 🙂
The Encore is due for delivery in October of 2019, just in time for the new Norwegian Cruise Terminal in PortMiami. The Encore will also be the fourth and final ship in the NCL Breakaway Plus class. I can’t wait to see what they have next. Perhaps smaller ships? I’m noticing a trend of ships slated for 2020ish (Virgin, I’m looking at you) and it appears that the target passenger range is 2000+ versus 4000+. Could we see a modern version of the Jewel, Sun or Dawn class of ships? Perhaps we’ll see a hybrid of the Jade and the Encore? Time will tell.
